FAQ Stands for "Frequently Asked Questions", by using this page you can solve your own issues without resorting to wasted board space.



Windows Vista issues are solved with this: Uninstall Tibia Auto (you shouldn't be running Tibia)..

Uninstall Tibia (if you wish)..

If you did, than reinstall it to c:\Games\Tibia (for example, but don't let it install it to C:\Program Files)

Install TibiaAuto again with Administrator (right clicking it)

Install it to a different folder, such as c:\Games\TibiaAuto


After that, right click the TibiaAuto shortcut, select Properties - Compatibility - check the item "Run as administrator", OK.

Do that same configuration to the Tibia Client!

Run Tibia,

Run TibiaAuto (it should give you a warning)

done.. It will ask you for a code that you can get here: http://TibiaAuto.net/code.php

or

Tibia.exe 

   * Running As (Right Click -> Properties) 
   * Administrator 
   * Compatibilty Mode (Windows XP SP2)

Tibia Auto.exe 

   * Running As (Right Click -> Properties) 
   * Administrator 
   * Compatibility Mode (Windows XP SP2)



Python24.DLL

If you don't know where to find it, just download it from here: http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.4.3/python-2.4.3.msi and install it BEFORE installing TA.. Be aware that you HAVE to install it to ALL USERS..


ERROR! Unable to read TA install directory! Please reinstall.

This occurs when TA does not have full access to the registry. If you can edit it manually then the installer should be able to edit it as well.

To check if you can edit it manually.

go to Start->Run

type in regedit.exe and run it

in the directory listing find the entry

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/Software/Tibia auto/

There should be a new string value named "Install_Dir" with value <[i]TA's install dir[/i]>


If you cannot create it yourself by adding a new string value then you need higher permissions.


TibiaAuto file is .EXE instead of .ZIP, why?

It's an install file now, so you don't need to unzip and move files around anymore. Just execute it and select the destination folder for TA, than select your Tibia Client folder (do NOT use the same path for both).



TibiaAuto has a virus. My AntiVirus said so!!

Not true. It's a false positive.

Why it's showing? If you see, TA is smaller now (from almost 2mb to 1.4mb). TibiaAuto creator (vanitas) is using a new program to compact the files called PECOMPACT and this is what's showing the "virus/trojan" problem. Scan the files using Jotti and VirusTotal to check that. http://virusscan.jotti.org/ http://www.virustotal.com/



Loading Script Failed: Python Error & There must be a call to tibiaauto.registerplugin()

You need to download (Only if your using Windows XP) http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.4.3/python-2.4.3.msi and install it. If your not using Windows XP then go to http://www.python.org and go to download and find your OS it seems like some sort of program that you need to understand the language that tibia auto has been designed in! Just install that and it should work.

Remember tho, TibiaAuto will only work for Windows 2k/XP.


But I didn't have this problem with 1.10.4 (or previous) versions

This is because you have to DELETE all TibiaAuto files from your Tibia Client folder. Uninstall 1.10.5, delete all files (you can't be playing tibia, leave the client closed), install 1.10.5, done. ;)



If I'm botting and my Backpack is full how do I make Tibia Auto Loot to another Backpack?

If you just leave a bunch of bags open and minimized, when your first main backpack is full it will loot to the next empty space (those bags you made available) no need to make the auto looter do it.



When I open tibia auto the character selection doesn't come up or my character isn't shown in the character selection

Tibia Auto requires you have Windows NT or newer. (XP, 2000, 2003).

Restart your computer; sometimes .dll's get jammed in the memory, rebooting sometimes fixes this. This also happens when your installation is faulty, so, reinstalling Tibia Auto will fix it (if you do install it correctly).

As stated before, remember to install TibiaAuto without opening Tibia. So, CLOSE Tibia before installing TibiaAuto.
